Hello!
Apologies for the delayed April newsletter, I’ve been busy and have realized monthly can be hard for me to keep consistent (I am consistently inconsistent). I will aim to have them out once every 1-3 months. This is a new format for me and I want to enjoy it, not overwhelm myself or force it!
April was busy and any moment I had was recovery from the Edmonton convention. I had a fun time with my booth pals and it made me want to try a few other conventions across the country. I would love to do more traveling guest spots but I don’t have the energy or money for them often. I usually need a lot of recovery time from a big social event such as a market or convention, plus I always miss my cats!!
I’m busy prepping for Odd Bird Fair in Edmonton, getting new prints and items made. I’ve been watching the newest season of British Bakeoff, which is healing and inspiring me to bake again. I’m trying seeds this year, and have so far planted tomato, lettuce, baby cucc, strawberries and a few different flowers. Hopefully will have a good update on them next time!
Recent Favourites:
♡ Pom Poko!! I must admit the *ahem* little raccoon balls first turned me away from this movie. My partner insisted I would love it so I finally gave it the chance it always deserved. This movie instantly became one of my favourite Ghibli films. Silly and completely heartbreaking in it’s depiction of deforestation.
♡ SINNERS!! Fellow horror movie enjoys, run don’t walk!! I didn’t realize there were post credit scenes so make sure you stay for those!
♡ I’ve been listening to a lot of Doechii, Kneecap, Bad Bunny, and Hozier lately. :)
♡ Otherworld podcast - this is my #1 podcast. I am obsessed with almost anything paranormal, cryptid, or unexplainable and this one covers them all well.
